Some Child Safety Tips

With Halloween coming I thought it would be good to post some of the tips we teach kids in class to deal with strangers.

1. Not all strangers are bad. Usually someone in uniform ( police, firefighters, etc) is a good person to help a lost child.

2. The test to see if someone is a good stranger is

” I’m sorry my parents told me I’m not allowed to talk to talk to strangers “

if the stranger says anything other than something like” ok you parents are right “ and then proceeds to leave the child alone there is a problem.

3. Have a password . Only something that close family and necessary adults know. If they don’t know the password  can be an indicator that the stranger is up to no good.

Food for thought...

Happy Halloween
